All International visitors (except the citizens of the republic of Singapore, Maldives and Seychelles) who wish to visit Sri Lanka for a short stay for sight seeing , holidays, visiting friends and relatives, medical purposes and to attend special events, have to apply for ETA to gain access to Sri Lanka.
Since the ETA application process is completely online, the applicant doesn't have to submit the original documents. The ETA approval document is directly emailed to the Email ID provided by the applicant. It is advisable for the ETA holders to provide the ETA approval with the other requirements at the pot of entry in Sri Lanka.
The ETA is valid for double entry within 30 days from the date of the initial arrival. The ETA can be further extended by 6 months.
