Arugam Bay, which is also known as Arugam Kudah means “Bay of Bermuda Grass”. Arugam Bay is one of the top 10 surf destinations in the world, and the only international surf competition venue in Sri Lanka. With a considerate amount of Srilankan Tamil and Sinhala population, Arugam Bay has a majority of Muslim community. Arugam Bay has host most of the international surfing competitions in Sri Lanka since 2004.
