​After breakfast, leave to visit Galle fort and the fortifications. Galle fort is a UNESCO world heritage. Continue the trip to Mirissa beach. Spend the evening relaxing on the pristine beach and bathing Mirissa’s blue waters.

Go whale watching. Whales are seen relatively close to shore as the continental shelf is narrow to the South of Dondra. A bonus is the presence of Sperm Whales and pods of dolphins. Some whale watchers have seen Blue, Sperm and Long-snouted Spinner Dolphins, simultaneously in their field of view.

Spend the evening relaxing on the beach.

Drive to Udawalawa national park and do a Jeep safari to see the wild Elephants. Udawalawe National Park lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces. The national park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir. Then visit the The Udawalawe Elephant Transfer Home. This is a facility within Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka that was established in 1995 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation. Its primary objective is to rehabilitate orphaned elephant calves for ultimate release back into the wild.

Drive to Sinharaja rain forest. This will give you opportunities to get closer to the nature and to bath in natural pools. Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a national park and a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka. It is of international significance and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Drive to Nuwara Eliya. The coldest and highest elevation city in Sri Lanka. You can visit Victoria park during the afternoon to observe the vegetation of this elevation. Nuwara Eliya’s climate lent itself to becoming the prime sanctuary of the British civil servants and planters in Ceylon.

Drive (03^rd party vehicle) to the starting point to do the trekking at Horton plains. Horton Plains National Park is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and is covered by montane grassland and cloud forest. This plateau is rich in biodiversity and many species found here are endemic to the region.

Continue the trip to Ella and climb little Adam’s peak.

Drive to Knuckles camp site through Kandy. The Knuckles Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka, in the Districts of Matale and Kandy. The range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks. Whilst this name was assigned by early British surveyors, the Sinhalese residents have traditionally referred to the area as Dumbara Kanduvetiya meaning Mist-laden Mountain Range.

The higher montane area is often robed in thick layers of cloud. In addition to its aesthetic value, the range is of great scientific interest. It is a climatic microcosm of the rest of Sri Lanka as the conditions of all the climatic zones in the country are exhibited in the massif. At higher elevations there is a series of isolated cloud forests, harbouring a variety of flora and fauna. Although the range constitutes a little of the island’s total area, it is home to a significantly higher proportion of the country’s biodiversity.
