Itinerary

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted before beginning your journey from Negombo to Sigiriya.

Travel inland through scenic countryside landscapes as you make your way to Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle (approx. 3 hours).

On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure—unwinding after your journey and enjoying the tranquil surroundings of your resort.

Begin your day with an early visit to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where you’ll ascend the ancient rock citadel, passing frescoes, mirror walls, and the impressive Lion’s Gate. From the summit, take in sweeping views of the surrounding plains and lush countryside.

Return to the hotel for some relaxation before heading out in the afternoon for an unforgettable elephant safari at Minneriya National Park (or Hurulu Eco Park depending on seasonal wildlife movements). After breakfast, depart from Haputale and enjoy one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world as you travel by train towards Demodara. Glide through emerald tea plantations, misty mountains, and iconic railway bridges along the way.

Upon arrival, continue to the vibrant hill town of Ella, known for its relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking natural beauty. Spend time exploring the town, boutique cafés, and viewpoints.
